APPLICATION PROCESS:
Students are to complete and submit the online Application/Essay (written by the student), which includes the appropriate information outlined below by Friday, May 20, 2022. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
The Scholarship Awards & Grants Committee will hold interviews (and auditions for Seniors) May 23rd, 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the BHS choir room. Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the interview start time. Someone will call you in when it is your turn. Applicants need to sign up for interviews at BHS Music Boosters Signup Website – SENIORS: SIGN UP for TWO (2) CONSECUTIVE SLOTS (Signups will be available once interview date is set.)

Scholarship Awards & Grant recipients will be selected based on the content of the letters of application, music experience, performance ability, poise, sincerity and appearance (appropriate interview and performance attire).
Scholarship awards and grant disbursements will only be made payable to Colleges/Universities, private teachers or camps, not to student recipients or families. Scholarship Award and Grant recipients will be announced by the directors by June 3rd. Please email bothellmusicboosters@gmail.com with questions regarding applications.
Senior Scholarship Awards

2022 Senior Scholarship Award Application Sheet
Bothell High School Music Boosters offer three (3) $750 scholarship awards to current Bothell High School seniors who plan to further their music education at a college/university beginning in the Fall of 2022. Applicants must be pursuing a major in music and be enrolled in the Fall of 2022 to qualify. One scholarship award is available for each discipline: Choral, Orchestra, and Band.

Applicants must pursue a Major in music studies at an accredited college or university.

Applicants must demonstrate qualities of leadership, strong communication skills and self-confidence.

Sign up for TWO (2) consecutive interview spots by May 20, 2022 at BHS Music Boosters Signup.com. Applicants will be met in the music lobby (between Instrumental & Choral classrooms)

During the interview, applicants may be asked about college application and interview/audition process.

Applicants will perform a piece of music of their choice. (Maximum five (5) minutes in length)
A Letter of Application/Essay must be submitted with the Informational Sheet and should be typed and presented in a clear, legible format that indicates individual thought and expression containing, at a minimum, the following information:

Reason(s) you plan to major in music

Selected focus of Major (Performance, Music Education, Composition, etc.)

Your qualifications for and interest in future studies and a career in music

Your past music experiences and accomplishments
Continuing Music Education Grants
- Supporting students participating in summer
music camps & private lessons -
2022 Continuing Music Education Grant Application Sheet
Bothell High School Music Boosters offer grants of up to $200 to students entering grades 10, 11 and 12 in Fall 2022, who want to further their music education during the summer of 2022. Grants go towards music tutoring, lessons, camps or programs and are payable directly to the program or instructor.

Students must be enrolled in a music education course at Bothell High School in the Fall of 2022 to qualify.

Applicants must sign up for an interview on the Bothell High School Music Booster’s SignUp.com. Applicants will be met in the music lobby (between Instrumental & Choral classrooms)
